Yes, I am indeed Audrey Stolz, and you are a sore thumb sticking out in my lab. Great, introductions are out of the way.

Audrey Stolz is the head of the Vault 63 meteorology sector in Fallout 76, introduced in the Skyline Valley update. Depending on the actions of the Vault Dweller, she may become the new overseer of Vault 63.

Audrey as a child

Audrey was born to Hugo Stolz and Cassidy Stolz as their only child. While she was born into a wealthy and highly privileged family, she noted her parents were workaholics who were often busy and absent from her life. Audrey had an interest in nature and science growing up, and would spend hours watching the stars as a child. She wanted to pursue astronomy, but Hugo insisted she specialized in what he wanted for her; a planned scientific career working for the Vault-Tec Corporation. She reluctantly agreed and her team carried most of the work, as they saw her heart was not into her job and knew she was merely a family figurehead.

She met a woman named Alex Guerra at a book store. The two entered an argument, but their differences from one another became a common ground. They loved to challenge each other's views and tastes in literature and the two became a couple, loving their unique differences. However, Alex hated Audrey's father Hugo Stolz, viewing him as a greedy capitalist. Hugo disliked Alex, viewing her communist ways as dangerous to his family wealth, especially as Audrey was heir to the Stolz fortune. Even after Hugo moved his family to Shenandoah National Park, Alex still kept in contact with Audrey, furthering his disdain for her. Although Audrey tried to convince her father to let Alex into Vault 63, Hugo denied this. One day, Alex seemed to mysteriously vanish out of Audrey's life. Audrey was unaware her father had sent an assassin after Alex.

Audrey survived the Great War, as her manor was built right on top of Vault 63. However, she became a ghoul with the rest of its residents due to radiation leakage.

Audrey is frustrated with her father Hugo, as well as with James Oberlin. She finds herself unable to trust their judgements when it comes to running Vault 63.[1]

Appearances[]

Audrey Stolz appears only in Fallout 76, introduced in the Skyline Valley update.

Behind the scenes[]

  • In the first Public Test Server for Skyline Valley, Audrey originally had the hairstyle "The Sophisticate." This was changed in the May 2024 Skyline Valley PTS update in order to make her look less like Penelope Hornwright.[Non-game 1]
  • Audrey shares similarities with Lucy MacLean. For example, they both lived in Vaults for much of their lives. Their fathers worked for Vault-Tec and have four-letter names beginning with H (Hugo, Hank). Their fathers betrayed communities by leaving them to die by nukes. Audrey and Lucy later grow desires to kill their fathers. Both Audrey and Lucy were separated from their lovers (Maximus and Alex), have mothers who became ghouls, and have cousins who live in their Vaults. Audrey and Lucy are both shown to be interested in science, even if Lucy downplays her science skills.
