How to make a bug report

Your feedback has been instrumental in helping Shadows of Doubt become what it is today, and we’re asking Detectives to continue to submit bug reports throughout Early Access.

The easiest way to submit a bug report for Shadows of Doubt is through the ‘Bug Report’ feature, found on the in-game main menu. 

For other critical issues, please use the following submission form.

GENERAL FAQ's

Shadows Of Doubt will be available for PC on Steam, GoG, Epic and Microsoft Store. For console, You can play on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Shadows Of Doubt can be purchased on PC for $24.99/£19.99. Digital console versions for $24.99/£19.99 and physical console editions for $29.99/£24.99

Physical editions can currently be pre-ordered at most major games retailers. An official release date has yet to be announced but will be sometime after the 1.0 launch on Sept. 26th.

CITY GENERATION: On the console versions of the game there is only one city size availability which is the equivalent of medium sized city on PC
No mod support
No Twitch Integration

No, the console versions do not support Twitch integration currently

Shortly after launch, the community will have a more forward facing system to interact and engage with to allow better clarity and communication between the team and players regarding bug fixes and known issues.

Mod support is available for PC versions only and can be utilised in game with mod.io integration. For other community made mods, grab the “cruncher” role and please refer to Discord (Click here) to get started.

No, the “Dead Of Night” scenario is just an intro into Shadows Of Doubt and serves as a teaching for the basics of investigation. Your city will continue to exist and live just as a freshly generated city does without the tutorial.

There are no plans to release any paid content but there will be ongoing support for the game

Yes, the game will receive further patches, QoL updates and optimizations on all platforms after release.

If you are playing Shadows Of Doubt on Steam, inputting “-uncleeden” into your launch options for Shadows will open up a new menu with various developer commands.

This is the game branch to opt. into testing out bigger patches before they go live on the main branch of the game. Using this branch is like beta testing the latest updates for the game and your feedback here is very helpful.

To opt. in, right-click Shadows Of Doubt in your library > select “properties” > select “betas” > using the drop-down menu, select “experimental”. You can move freely between the branches and even try out your main branch save on experimental.

When patches release, you can find full patch notes in #dev-updates that will specify which things will require a new city generation to take effect using a ” * ” after the individual note.

The soundtrack will be available around launch on Steam and PS5 for 5.99 with other music platforms to come later.

Yes, Shadows Of Doubt is a Steam Deck verified title.

Yes, you can remap your buttons to your liking.

Yes, city seeds can be shared cross platform, including PS5 to Xbox Series X|S. Moving PC cities to consoles with an unsupported size will reduce the size to accommodate for the console platform.

No, until you retire to the fields your city will continue to live on and you can still enjoy the games content as much as you would like without restarting.

The difficulty setting will adjust the amount of damage you take from various sources.

Game Length will adjust how many social credit levels you will need to earn to reach retirement and “complete” a playthrough if you choose.

Killers will continue killing until caught. Theoretically, they can kill off your whole city if left to their devices.

Hidden around the city are specific graffiti pieces done in white paint. The words underneath these images are passwords to use.
