Description:

Job Title: Product Manager
Reports Into: Chief Marketing Officer
Location: London Blackfriars, hybrid in office 3 days a week. During probationary period this will be 4 days.
Salary: From £33k depending on experience

Are you ready?

To take the next step with a vibrant and up and coming indie publisher where you will shape the future of our games.

What will you do?

You’ll be part of a busy and vibrant marketing team with a broad responsibility for launching indie games on PC and console. This includes but isn’t limited to:

  • Bringing the brand to life: We get to define how our games are seen and felt by players worldwide.
  • Crafting visual stories: Creating visually engaging assets like ads, trailers, and artwork that get players excited to hit that “Play” button.
  • Having a say in the game’s success: Our insights and strategies directly influence how players experience and enjoy our games.
  • Working together, every step: Teamwork is our secret sauce! We synch up with different departments and are always looking to collaborate.
  • Global vibes, local flavours: Tailoring our message for different places while keeping the same awesome vibe —that’s the challenge and the fun!
  • Learning from players: Listening to what players love (or don’t) helps us shape the future of a game —whether it’s the next marketing campaign or even tweaks to the game itself. You’ll work with the production & community team to gain these insights.
  • Every detail counts: From the tiniest ad tweak to the big launch strategy, it’s all about making sure players get the best experience.
  • Rolling with the changes: Trends shift, preferences change, and that’s okay! We’re nimble and ready to adapt, making sure our games stay fresh and appealing.
  • Sharing the excitement (and celebrate the successes!): Seeing the gaming community light up with enthusiasm is what keeps us going!
  • Making it personal: It’s not just about marketing; it’s about creating a connection—getting players pumped up about the adventures waiting for them.
  • Keeping the buzz going: We don’t just stop at launch day. We’re in it for the long haul, keeping players excited about our games even after they’ve hit stores.

What skills are we looking for:

  • Passionate about indie games: Deep enthusiasm and genuine interest in indie gaming, demonstrating a keen understanding of the unique qualities of indie titles in the gaming industry. Knowledge of Early Access games is a bonus.
  • A natural diplomatic communicator: You will be at the centre of the game and need to have strong communications skills with all stakeholders.
  • An understanding of marketing: You’ll be responsible for delivering all the key marketing beats and assets for the games you work on. We have a number of Early Access titles so it would be great if you have some knowledge of current live service market best practices, with the ability to identify which works bests for the well-being of our community.
  • Outstanding project management: Proven ability to effectively plan, execute, and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple projects concurrently, coupled with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and convey ideas clearly.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environments: Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced settings, efficiently managing tasks, and projects while maintaining high-quality standards, both independently and as part of a team.
