Kyoryu PC

Kyoryu is an action-adventure game that allows us to take on the role of a young T-Rex. The game is the debut project of the independent team Floating Rock Studio from New Zealand, and was created under the supervision of Benjamin Mulot, who wanted to commemorate his deceased father and the bond with him.

Plot

Kyoryu takes us to a post-apocalyptic universe, or more precisely – to the once bustling Tokyo, now overrun by dinosaurs. During the game we take on the role of a young, genetically modified tyrannosaurus, the son of a reptilian samurai. The protagonist must navigate between obedience to his overprotective father and fascination with everything that remains of humanity.

Gameplay

In Kyoryu we view the action from a third person perspective (TPP). As we explore post-apocalyptic Tokyo, we must constantly be on our guard, as the threat from predatory dinosaurs lurks at almost every step. When our dinosaur protagonist encounters adversaries, it must sneak behind their backs. When detected, there usually is no other choice but to flee.

It doesn't end there, because in Tokyo we also meet other friendly creatures (mainly mammals) with whom we can interact. As we progress, we not only learn more about the presented world, but we also get to know the protagonist's history and observe their relationship with their father.
