EA DICE Reworks Battlefield 2042 Specialists

EA DICE is preparing update 1.2 for Battlefield 2042, and one of the changes it will introduce will be revised images of four specialists. Three will receive (longer) beards.

One of the many elements of Battlefield 2042, which players complain about, is the system of specialists. EA DICE has admitted that abandoning the classic four classes in favor of this solution was not a good idea. The developer - or rather, the small team that reportedly is engaged in developing the game further - does not intend to get rid of the specialists, however.

Instead, at the suggestion of the community, they will get visual alterations, designed to make their image more in line with the quasi-post-apocalyptic realities of the new BF.

Battlefield 2042 patch 1.2 in August

The first of these will be introduced in update 1.2, which is expected to come out in early August. An alternative "dark" look will be given to four of the eleven specialists present in the game, specifically Piotr "Boris" Guskowski, Constantin "Angel" Anghel, Webster Mackay, and Maria Falck. You can see their new likenesses in the image below. In the second graphic - for comparison - I posted the current appearance of the characters.

Beard, bearder, beardest

The most striking change are the men's grown beards - or a noticeably longer beard in the case of "Boris". Because, as we all know, nothing adds so much seriousness to a man as a beard. Will fans appreciate this change? We will find out soon enough.

Changes in Kaleidoscope

Another major new feature to be expected in the August 1.2 update is - according to the announcement - refreshed look of the map Kaleidoscope. This is to be the developers' response to complaints fans regarding not the best virtual battleground designs. For now, however, no new screenshots showcasing it have been released.
