Players who pre-ordered the Frostpunk 2 Deluxe Edition can now access the game early. However, some of those already exploring the icy depths of this winter wonderland have reported several issues, including low FPS performance and problems with saving their progress. Thankfully, the mystery behind corrupted save files has been solved.

Loosing Progress in Frostpunk 2 Campaign Explained

Players looking to enjoy Frostpunk 2 offline should be cautions, as there is a significant issue with autosaves not functioning properly in this mode. This means that if you encounter a situation where you need to restart a chapter, you will likely be forced to begin all the way from the start of the campaign, potentially losing hours of gameplay progress. While manually saving at the beginning of each chapter might seem like a solution, there's currently no guarantee that manual saves won't disappear like autosaves. For now, it's recommended to play in online mode to avoid this frustrating scenario.

While this issue might initially dampen your enthusiasm, it's important to maintain patience. The development team is aware of the problem and working diligently to resolve it. Rest assured, a fix is in the works.
