Despite the slight controversies surrounding the appearance of the main protagonist before and after the premiere of Stellar Blade, the game surpassed the devs' sales expectations, making it the Shift Up studio's first major hit. In a recent conversation with the South Korean website Inven (via KAMI), the director, Hyung-Tae Kim, said more about Eve's future and his plans for the coming years.

Let's remind that we first heard about Stellar Blade in 2019. The trailer published at that time announced that it would be released on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. During this time, however, Shift Up entered into a partnership with Sony, so the project became an exclusive title of the Japanese giant. Despite everything, there is still a chance that the game will appear on PC.

  1. The studio is contemplating creating a PC port and is also giving serious thought to developing a sequel, as conveyed by a company representative. Let's note that the idea of continuing Eve's adventures appeared even before the game's premiere.
  2. Stellar Blade sold enough copies to satisfy the publisher. However, we didn't find out exactly how many copies were sold.
  3. The studio aims to further invest in AAA games and grow the development team. The company also intends to acquire certain brands that weren't revealed during the discussion, which is interesting.

A team from South Korea is currently developing a new game, codenamed Project Witches. This is to be a game available not only on PC and consoles, but also on mobile devices. In the next few years, we are likely to hear about more projects because the company's strategy includes launching games every 2-3 years.
