Playing around in Unity Engine with 3D scenes! My plan was to create a simple low-poly cave with crystals in Blender and then put it into Unity, but somehow, hours later, I found myself knee-deep in building an entire world of rocks, light sources, special items, and even adding animations with DOTween! 🤯 Unity's easy start quickly leads you down a rabbit hole of creativity, and I'm loving every moment of it! Some Unity features are very hidden, one of which is organizing Shader Graphs into their own or existing folders. This is something I found out about quite late, but it helps me a lot in organizing my shaders in big projects or for the Unity Asset Store. Did you already know about this feature? Learning Vectors for Free Look Camera: 📚 Spent time today diving into vectors to better understand the mechanics behind free look camera movement. Special thanks to @iheartgamedev for their insightful video on camera relative movement (check it out https://lnkd.in/dK6UTNE3 . I know how to create the basic free look camera, but I wanted to dive deep to learn the vectors. It's fascinating to grasp the mathematical concepts that underpin game development! 2. Art Style Discussions: 💬 Had a fruitful discussion with friends about the art style of the game. Exploring different visual aesthetics and gathering inspiration to ensure the game has a unique and captivating look. 3. Creating Props for First Level and Completing Free Look Camera with Movement and Animations: 🏗️🕹️ Tomorrow's agenda includes working on creating props for the first level while simultaneously finalizing the implementation of the free look camera. This includes integrating smooth character movement with animations. Every detail contributes to building an immersive gaming experience, and completing these tasks will bring the game world to life.
