Thank you for sharing this exciting update on the O1 series! Having these tools available in the Azure AI Studio playground offers a great opportunity for select customers to experience their potential firsthand. I’m looking forward to the broader release and API access. This will undoubtedly open up new possibilities for integration and innovation across various industries. Please keep me posted on any future developments or ways to participate in the preview!

What a pace! Not only how fast "Straw..." I mean "O1" was out, but also the latency between OpenAI and Azure shrinking to ~0 is impressive!

Looking at this colab it feels great from Open AI perspective, but suggest me with what would happen to traditional approach of ML where we were researching and building models, even lets consider those open source pre trained models in HF too where fine tuning it to our custom use-cases. Using LLMs definitely makes job easier and faster but leave us with no research activities or optimising. Going forward this way the scope for people who are working as ML Engineer or data scientist is getting very limited to the product based companies like open ai, aws, azure.. providing end to end ready to market generic models. Calling and using ai models through api now is more of a developer job and a big threat to data scientists or ml engineers. Words like "advancements in ai not taking out jobs" is a serious concern within the python and AI ML team for every other organisation. Again, these are just my personal anxious thoughts. All the best and heartiest congratulations for the colab!

It's time start our AI journey :D
