This is a scene I've worked on for the past month. l've tried a lot of new things in this project and learned even more new things. This project was my first time creating my own foliage, materials in unreal, and playing around with particle effects. I've gained even more of an interest in VFX through this project and plan to incorporate them in future projects. l've studied a lot of tutorials to understand how the node system works in unreal and I'm getting used to them now I believe. For the fog material l used an asset from one of the tutorials and altered it to work for my scene. #maya #unreal5 #substancepainter #gameart #environmentart

Took around 4 Months to complete the 5-minute film personal project entirely made and rendered in Unreal Engine, edited out a few scenes for showreel purposes. I've learned a lot about the engine starting from Niagara FX, Blueprints, Making Materials, Sequencer, Movie Render Queue and it was only possible with certain YouTube channels like William Faucher, Pwnisher, Rinban VFX, Sarkamari, Codelikeme plus a real-time VFX course from REBELWAY and a few more. Following VFX studies at unreal, in this project the focus was on working and studying UV distortion, in addition to creating masks to give better timing to the effect. I followed some tutorials and feedback to achieve this result. I also made two texture models for each stage to test other possibilities. One day project made in #Unrealengine5.4 testing the new Render graph. My goal was to create a cinematic shot using ACES and VFX Pipeline with light groups and Volume groups for fine tweaks in compositing. In my opinion UE 5.4 Render graph Is not perfect yet but from a compositor point of view this is a HUGE gamechanger and I'm looking forward to the next versions! In this part of my technical sound design reel, I wanted to focus on character interactions and what they would sound like. I recorded Foley in a small space and edited them with Reaper.
