X-Cell Over Buffout 4 for FOLON
What?
This mod simply provides replacement config .ini files that disable Buffout 4's memory management and replace it with X-Cell along with other performance enhancements X-Cell offers.
Why?
Buffout 4's memory management makes Fallout London very crash-prone. X-Cell has eliminated crashing for me entirely. Further, X-Cell includes other performance features from older mods that used to be considered the gold standard in their day.
How?
Grab X-Cell from the Fallout 4 Nexus, linked in Mod Requirements section above. You DO NOT NEED the dependency mods that X-Cell's page shows, those are for the base Fallout 4 game not for FOLON.
I prepared this package with Mod Organizer 2 in mind but should work the same in anything where you can set hierarchy and overwrites. PLEASE USE A MOD MANAGER, unless you know what you're doing. Mod Managers such as MO2 make it easy as ticking and unticking to switch between my config and default.
Load Order:
[Fallout London with included Buffout 4] / [Buffout 4 NG with PDB]
[X-Cell]
[X-Cell Over Buffout for FOLON config]
The key is that this needs to load after both Buffout 4 and X-Cell so that it can override their configs.
