Blizzard is celebrating Diablo’s 20th anniversary in all their games

In order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Diablo franchise, Blizzard Entertainment prepared several special events in all their key games.

Diablo is turning 20 this year, on December 31 to be exact. In order to celebrate this occasion, Blizzard Entertainment is preparing a series of time-limited events in several of their games: Diablo III, Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, Overwatch, StarCraft II, and World of Warcraft. Probably the best treat is planned for Diablo III – players will get to experience a reimagined version of the original Diablo adventure. The Darkening of Tristram is said to be an annual event, so if you miss it this year you will be able to try it out next time.

As for other Blizzard games, fans can expect some Diablo-themed goodies. These are: portraits in Heroes of the Storm and StarCraft II, a mysterious character with a background story to uncover in Hearthstone’s Tavern Brawl, sprays with Diablo III classes in Overwatch, and Sanctuary characters crossing over to WoW’s Azeroth. You can read more about these on Battle.net. The bonuses will probably be made available on December 31, but there is no telling how long exactly they will be up for grabs.
