A generous dose of Half-Life, a dash of The Last of Us, and a sprinkle of the Metro series and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – this is how we could briefly describe the indie shooter Vladik Brutal, which was released on Steam on August 9th. The title quickly gained the sympathy of players, despite numerous shortcomings. Mistakes can be forgiven, especially when we consider that only one person is responsible for developing the game.

Vladik Brutal is a brutal FPS that takes us to an oppressive country in Eastern Europe. We take on the role of a hero determined to overthrow the rule of a paranoid dictator at any cost in the game. The leader subjugated the society by organizing attacks on opponents, implanting tracking chips in citizens, and also assigning them numbers and special clothing. During our journey, we brutally eliminate regime soldiers, blow up armored vehicles, and even stand up against mutants.

The game of Narko Games studio was quickly hailed by many users as the unofficial Half-Life 3. The comparison might be exaggerated, but it's undeniable that Vladik Brutal draws inspiration from Valve Software's portfolio. The shooter also benefits from very positive reviews, which praise the dense atmosphere with elements of horror, as well as the dynamic gameplay and dark graphics.
