Keen Games studio released an update today for their hit survival game, Enshrouded, titled Back to the Shroud. Let's recall that the game has been in early access since January 24th this year, and this is already the third significant patch released by the developers.

Enshrouded - new difficulty levels

The latest version marked with the number 0.7.3.0 focuses on adding a few key features and improving those already existing. There are also "quality of life" type changes. The most important new feature is the addition of difficulty levels. We will come across 5 of them:

  1. default – the standard level, recommended by the developers for beginner players;
  2. relaxed - reduces the number of enemies and provides more resources and loot;
  3. hard - more enemies and more difficult fights;
  4. survival – introduces additional survival mechanics, such as hunger, and increases the aggression of monsters;
  5. custom – allows you to freely modify the game settings to suit your preferences.

Enshrouded - other new features

The game also introduces the option of displaying some of your items using special, createable objects. These are armor mannequins, weapon racks, as well as decorative shelves for collector's items like fossils.

The character creator has also been improved with additional features, such as skin color, eye color, and eyebrows. The remaining changes focus on balance and improving gameplay, for instance:

  1. rebuilt item creation menu;
  2. improved blocking and parrying mechanics;
  3. implementation of FSR 3 technology;
  4. more convenient use of wands and staffs, as well as better survivability and effectiveness in the early stages of playing as a mage.

The entire list of changes is of course much longer, and you can familiarize yourself with it on the official game website.
