Altar rush: Rack up your score by getting straight to the action with a rush to the Altar. Use your grenades to damage and disorient enemies on the other side and keep your head on a swivel watching the four archways leading in. Though risky, a good play here can lead you to your next streak.

Blast ‘em: Babylon’s archways and crumbled pillars are ideal locations for proximity-based traps like the Blast Trap and Neurogas. Get up close to the enemy spawn to plant near their main thoroughfares or use the item to protect your back when holding a power position. Running up against this? Use Perk Greed to equip Flak Jacket and Tac Mask, greatly boosting your defenses against these attacks.

Move and defend: Babylon has a lot of open space for a small map, interspersed with large cover objects. Always consider when it’s best to move up and when it’s best to stay put, eliminating enemies from cover before moving on again.

Advanced Map Tips

Alley Ambush — Alpha (A)

Watch your step near the arches along the southwest Alley. These perfect ambush points give access to two small areas under the Palace which require crouching to move through. Stay in the area to land some eliminations and then continue down the Alley or climb up through the ceiling to get up on the Palace. If you see an enemy inside, toss a grenade for maximum effect as it detonates in the small space.

Pillars — Beta (B)

The two platforms along Pillars are incredible vantage points covering the whole north end of the map with partial views of the Chapel and Altar. Use their crumbled walls for cover and defend the area from either platform, depending on where the enemy is most heavily concentrated. Both spots are vulnerable to aerial attacks, though as a result it’s worth bringing a Launcher to return fire.

Chapel Cover — Gamma (Γ)

The Chapel features two elevated sight lines worth noting. Climb up on the white crate in the south-facing window for a clear sight across Gate and up to the Palace. Lay prone on the east-facing wooden crate for a straight view down Pillars; this is a great counter-snipe position against enemies along the northern route.

Map Focused Loadouts

Slay your enemies with these suggested Loadouts built to excel on Babylon. Use them as is or tweak them to best match your preferred playstyle.

On Point

Assault Rifle, Strategist Combat Specialty

This Loadout excels at offense and defense, combining the power of Quartermaster which recharges your Flashbang and Thermo Grenade over time with Dispatcher which reduces the score cost of non-lethal Scorestreaks.

Equip Guardian for faster healing while capturing and holding objectives, using Ghost to help get you there without first being spotted on the enemy’s radar. The Perk Greed Wildcard lets you achieve the Strategist Combat Specialty requirements, granting extra score for your objective work.

Heavy Hitter

Marksman Rifle, Enforcer Combat Specialty

The SWAT 5.56 excels at mid-range, making this a great Loadout for covering long areas like Pillars and Ruin. Pick the Gunfighter Wildcard to further customize your weapon, along with the Assault Pack to keep your ammo stocked when on a streak, also refilling your Stim Shot and Sticky Grenade.

With Gung-Ho, you can reload while Tac Sprinting when you need to high tail it over open ground. Assassin and Bankroll help you obtain your Scorestreaks more quickly, while the Enforcer Combat Specialty rewards you with a temporary boost to your movement speed and health regen rate after eliminating enemies.

Double SMG

SMG

Go wild with this dual SMG Loadout using the Overkill Wildcard paired with Fast Hands for improved weapon swap speed. Running low on one mid-battle? Quickly swap to the next and keep up the short-ranged barrage.

Misdirect the enemy with the Decoy Grenade and swiftly dispatch foes using the Combat Axe. Boost your defenses against explosives with Flak Jacket and use Vigilance to be warned when appearing on enemy minimaps in addition to its helpful immunity to the Counter UAV Scorestreak.
