Ghostwire Tokyo Guide

Ghostbuster from Tokyo Ghostwire Tokyo guide is a complete walkthrough and Begginer's Guide, tips for exploration, combat, character development, absorbing ghosts. We describe how to get Meika, all collectibles, Izo statues, KK notes, trophies, system requirements.

Last update: 02 June 2022

This is a complete Ghostwire Tokyo game guide. It will help you understand the game's many unconventional gameplay mechanics, deal with supernatural opponents, complete all the main and side missions, and find all the secrets.

The first chapter of this guide focuses on the basics that will introduce you to the game world and explain the problem with ghosts that has affected the virtual Tokyo. We have focused on topics like combat and stealth, exploration and its limitations, character progression and unlocking new powers, absorbing spirits, or shops and traders.

The guide also has an FAQ section with answers to the most common problems. There you will learn, e.g. how to use fast travel, can you save the game, how to get XP and level up, how to heal yourself, how to change clothes, how to collect Meika currency and what you should get with it, how to get to the roofs of buildings, or how to get rid of fog that prevents free exploration of the map.

The following pages of the guide list all the collectibles available in the game. These include the Jizo statues, KK's Investigation Notes, Relics, Voice Logs and magatamas. This should make it easier for you to explore the world map and complete the game in 100%.

The next big chapter of the guide is the walkthrough. In separate sections of the walkthrough, we have included the descriptions of all the main and side missions. You will learn how to unlock individual quests, how to defeat enemies (including bosses), how to solve puzzles, how to reach the main storyline's ending and what unique rewards you get for completing quests.

The main chapters of the guide are supplemented by a series of single pages. We have prepared a trophy guide, thanks to which you will unlock 100% of the achievements and get the platinum trophy. In addition, we have included information, among others, on controls, system requirements and available graphics modes on PS5, the game's length and whether Ghostwire Tokyo is a horror game.

Ghostwire Tokyo: Quick beginner's tips

  1. Try to absorb all the ghosts you find using katashiro. Returning collected ghosts to the phone booths and sending them back gives you large amounts of XP and meika (currency). This way you can advance in the game much faster and get the currency to buy something in stores.
  2. Do not avoid fighting opponents at all costs -defeating them gives you XP and lets you explore guarded locations. You don't have to fight the Visitors directly - you can be stealthily by using the bow and stealth executions called Quick Purge.
  3. Clear the shrines by defeating nearby enemies and purifying 1 or more torii gates. By doing this, you can get rid of the deadly fog, earn unique rewards, unlock fast travel points and learn about new secrets and unique locations.
  4. Do the side quests appearing on the world map on a regular basis. They usually have very valuable rewards, e.g. spirits you can absorb, meika or magatama. Thanks to this, you can better prepare for the next main story missions.
  5. Remember to heal yourself - by default, the health bar doesn't regenerate automatically. You can have up to three different types of healing items and quickly use them by holding a single button. This lets you immediately resume combat.
  6. Try to attack opponents one by one. In most situations, your goal will be to weaken the Visitor enough to make them reveal their core and capture them. If you leave a wounded opponent alone or fail to tear the core out, they may heal, making the fight unnecessarily longer.
  7. Do not forget about exploring the rooftops. You can do this by finding "neutral" flying tengu creatures and pulling yourself to them with your grapple. You can find various rare or unique loot on the roofs. Rooftops and high shelves can also be good spots to start gliding.

More tips and hints can be found on a separate page: Beginner's guide.
