(That applies for other SMAPI mods too, to avoid resetting your settings when you update.) I suggest using Generic Mod Config Menu instead of editing the file directly though.
Can I use the tractor in the greenhouse, mines, or island? Yep. Press Backspace by default to summon the tractor to your current position, no matter where you are.
I forgot my tractor in the mines, and now I can't summon it? Your tractor is sad you forgot it, and can't always escape on its own if you forget it in the mines (for technical reasons). It'll automatically reappear in its garage overnight if that happens though. You can also enable "summon without garage" in the mod settings to summon one before then.
Can I plant tree seeds with the tractor? Not really. You can add them as custom attachments in the mod settings, like this: "CustomAttachments": [ "Acorn", "Mahogany Seed", "Maple Seed", "Pine Cone" ], That will plant the seeds on every valid tile around the tractor though, which isn't usually what you want. Planting seeds in a spaced pattern isn't really in scope for how the tractor works, so something like Smart Building might be better for that.
Before asking for help or reporting a bug: When asking for help here, please upload your SMAPI log and add a link to your message. This has useful info like what versions you have, which mods are installed, what happened in the game, etc. Please do this even if you don't see an error in the log.
hii hellooo... can someone help meee. im totally new with this modding thingy and i could not buy the tractor garage from robin??? i do have other mods and they are working fine. please help meee
I realized that this mod is based on the horse, it amazed me that modder actually made extra audios that matching with the status of the tractor. I'm kinda wondering if someone would make a mod that allow people to add custom audios for horses too(because I want to keep the tractor). Current mods can only replace audios in the vanilla game settings, these audios are based on what kind of flooring that horses are stepping on(stonestep/thudstep/woodystep), not based on the status of the horse. It'll be fun, for there are so many textures for horses. Kinda wish i could make one myself but coding was too difficult for me : (
My mod instance is resetting my config.json file whenever I load the game. When I open stardew and load into a farm, my mod config menu shows the tractor mod with the "CutGrownTrees": false. However, when I open the file in a code editor, I can see that the value is actually true. So, the in game value I'm seeing is not the same as the value that exists in the config.json. If I press save in-game, it will overwrite the config.json file live. So, it's interacting with the right file, but it doesn't seem to be reading from it when the game starts.
Are you the host player? Also you may need to move/demolish using that icon on a different building type in Robin's menu and then clicking the building you actually want on the farm map menu.
This is a noob question but does the tractor mod show up in the mods menu in game? I couldn't tell if pulled the mod correctly because I didn't see it in the list & couldn't verify in game right away.
If you're unsure about install Can you try loading the game again, then upload your SMAPI log (see instructions on that page) and post a link here? (Another way to check is Robin will sell the tractor as a building).
