Providers Clinical Support System - Medications for Alcohol Use Disorders (PCSS-MAUD)
The Providers Clinical Support System - Medications for Alcohol Use Disorders (PCSS-MAUD) is a SAMHSA funded national training, guidance, and clinical mentoring program that provides free training, guidance, and mentoring on the prevention, diagnoses, and treatment of alcohol use disorder (AUD).
PCSS-MAUD aims to enhance the capacity of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, substance use disorder (SUD) counseling professionals to identify and treat individuals using Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved medications for alcohol use disorder (MAUD).
PCSS-MAUD Mini Video Series
PCSS-MAUD created a Mini Video Series on the three FDA-approved medications for alcohol use disorder (MAUD). Healthcare practitioners can view the three videos on acamprosate, disulfiram, and naltrexone to learn about each of the medications and the benefits to using them when treating patients with AUD.

Impact of Alcohol Use on Opioid and Stimulant Overdoses: Implications for Screening and Treatment
The PCSS-MAUD is sponsoring a webinar about the impact of alcohol use on opioid and stimulant overdoses. This webinar will explore the relationship between alcohol and opioid/stimulant use, including the prevalence of alcohol in overdose cases. It will discuss the importance of alcohol screening and treatment in emergency settings, particularly for patients experiencing opioid or stimulant overdose. This webinar will be on August 29, 2024, at 1 p.m. ET.
