Hi there. I'm Jonny!
My name is Jonny Strömberg and I like to play, build and bring people together. I’ve tinkered with design, programming, art, games and events for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Sundsvall and now live in Stockholm, Sweden.
When I was a kid I dreamt of working at the Swedish video game magazine Super PLAY. This lead me to take over half of school magazine and turn it into “Game Power”, a magasin where me and my “staff” wrote video game reviews and share cheat codes. This later turned into a website and after few years, and some video game websites later, I realized that I liked programming and design better than journalism.
I love organizing events. Both professionally and privately. I co-founded Nordic.js 2014 together with Martina & Johannes and have organized it seven times since then. I’ve also organized two hackathon series called Hackaway and Sthlm Startup Hack.
Today I run Confetti together with my best friends Martina Elm and Johannes Edelstam. We’re a self-funded profitable SaaS company with 8 full-time employees and tens of thousands events which have brought together millions people.
