Last update: 12 April 2017

How to unlock: Speak with Maariko [Aya: Docks].

Here you can find the guide for Safe Journeys quest. It is one of the Heleus Assignments (side quests) in Mass Effect: Andromeda game. This quest can be unlocked during your first visit on Aya (after completing A Trail of Hope main quest). Astronomer Maariko asks you to examine different parts of the galaxy and search for missing satellites.

Unlocking the quest

This quest can be unlocked after completing A Trail of Hope main quest (meeting with the Resistance on Aya after you save Moshae Sjefa) - Safe Journeys | Aya side quests - Aya - Mass Effect: Andromeda Game Guide

This quest can be unlocked after completing A Trail of Hope main quest (meeting with the Resistance on Aya after you save Moshae Sjefa). The new quest marker will appear near the Docks. Find the entrance to the building where you can find Maariko, presented in the picture above. Speak with him and you will learn that he is an astronomer. Maariko asks you to find the missing satellites that are used to monitor the Scourge status.

Investigate the 1st missing satellite navpoint

The first out of four anomalies that must be investigated - it can be found in Onaon system - Safe Journeys | Aya side quests - Aya - Mass Effect: Andromeda Game Guide
The first out of four anomalies that must be investigated - it can be found in Onaon system

The first satellite can be found in Onaon system, the one where you can find planet Aya. Locate the anomaly and send a drone. You won't find a satellite but thanks to investigating its remains you get 60 Remnant Research Data.

Investigate the 2nd missing satellite navpoint

The second satellite can be found in Sabeng system. Repeat the process - locate and investigate the anomaly (send a drone and get to the place where the satellite should be). Again, you won't find the satellite but you can receive another 60 Remnant Research Data.

Investigate the 3rd missing satellite navpoint

The next place to examine is Joba system. Find the anomaly, send a drone and go to the place where the satellite was. There, you will find a communication beacon. Examining it gives you 60 Heleus Research Data and receive new mission objective.

Travel to Angara vessel navpoint

Go to Eriksson system and search for Angara vessel. Find the anomaly and get closer to the shipwreck to examine it closer. Listen to Suvi's commentary and scan the ship to receive 60 Heleus Research Data.

Find the satellite scavengers' hideout

In order to continue this quest you must travel on Kadara - Safe Journeys | Aya side quests - Aya - Mass Effect: Andromeda Game Guide

In order to continue this quest you must travel on Kadara. Land on the planet and go to the wastelands. The scavengers' hideout is in the north part of the planet, you can see it in the picture above. You can get there by using Nomad and following the main roads (a forward station is near).

Defeat the scavengers

After you find the hideout you must face the scavengers. Besides the "regular" bandits you must also watch out for Adhi and Eiroch beasts that can join the fight.

Find the lost satellites

After the fights you can look around the camp. The satellites are in the big chest that you must interact with (it is worth to look around the hideout and open other containers with treasures).

Return to Maariko

Go back on planet Aya and give Maariko your report. During this final meeting you can blame Angara or tell the truth that the Nexus outcasts were responsible for the damage. Regardless of your choice the quest is completed.

Rewards for finishing the quest: XP.
