Approach the cathedral and have a conversation with Siegward situated on the left. In order to get upstairs, roll over in the lift to make it work and get to the other side (the empty lift will travel down and another one will arrive and take you upstairs).

On your way back, pay attention to the platform situated about halfway. You can jump on it to talk with Siegward once again. Look at a beast far in the distance.

Don't hesitate to attack the demon from the back, while it is too busy with your ally.

Your objective is to slay the monster and Siegward will help you accomplish that. Just get out of its sight and attack from behind when the creature is focused on your ally. Watch out for the beast when it tries to face you, or use a fire attack.

You will be able to talk with Siegward again in Cathedral of the Deep. You can find him in the well, by the chapel (when you are next to the bonfire, exit the chapel through the door that you used to enter this location). The well is on the right. Come closer and talk to the onion knight. You can purchase his armor from Unbreakable Patches during your further quests. You will also obtain Prostration gesture.

Remember: this conversation will be available if you open the main door of the cathedral (one that leads outside, near the mausoleum).

You will find it in the sewer in Irithyll Dungeon, in the sewers filled with rats. There are two chests at the end - one of them is a mimic, the other contains the Old Cell Key.

Siegward's presence will make the battle much easier.

The final meeting with Siegward will take place during the battle with Yhorm the Giant. If you followed his quest until now, saved him and spoken to him whenever it was possible, he will appear with you on the arena (he has no summoning sign, he will join the battle automatically) Of course, it won't happen if you defeated this boss on your own before freeing Siegward.

Once the battle is won (if you die, Siegward will be waiting behind a fog) he will raise a toast for the last time (you will receive Siegbrau). Then reload the location and in the place where you fought you will find complete Siegward's armor, his shield and the Storm Ruler weapon.

Note: If Siegward dies during the battle, he won't appear again. However, in the same place you will be able to find the previously mentioned items.
